***Walks in and says "Good morning"***
***Gets stared at awkwardly by lead tech who clearly has issues***
Boring as hell day Radiography-wise...Productive day organic chemistry-wise. Three x-rays all day, none of which were needed comps. But I did get a better idea on how to position for oblique lumbar spine views. Took the more or less free day to complete my problem set which is due for organic. Going to be happy once this semester is over. Not because I'll be any less busy in PA school, but simply because the type of busy I'll be, will be more focused on the medical field, rather than chemistry that i'm likely never to use again.
I realize it is hard to find facilities willing to welcome and train students, but would it be too much to ask for some techs that at least feigned sociability? This woman looks for anything and everything I might be doing bad. Which is good, because it will make me better in the long run, but do it in a better / more constructive way. One more day at this place then I'm done. Next semester I will not return here, and if I'm scheduled to, I'll make a huge deal out of it.
Once again an arthrography no-show. Whatever happened to the days when you didn't show up for an appointment you'd be charged a penalty? Oh well, one more day, hopefully an arthrography comes and along with some sinuses and perhaps a skull. Next week I'll be in the medical center ED, less time to study for organic, but more time focused on my clinical skills.
